David

...is a graphic designer trapped in the cornfields of Illinois. He's short, so he can't see over the tassles to find his way out. He doesn't get along well with Republicans or the loudly religious, and wrote the McPodcast theme song (click here to download the mp3 for your personal listening enjoyment).

The co-host of a retro-disco radio show (see "disco," above) from 1994 to 2000, he also used to do a lot of theatre. His best role was Bob in Christopher Durang's Beyond Therapy. If you know the play you'll understand why some thought he was typecast. Someday when he's rich and/or retired he'll live in a little house on the beach with his little cat, Dru.

Eric

...is a mild-mannered scientist by day, but not a caped crusader at night. He lived all over the country, from New Jersey to New Mexico to Texas, before landing and staying in Illinois. You may be able to take the boy out of Texas...

His hobbies include overeating, couch potatoing, pretending his isn't addicted to World of Warcraft, and tending to his very large aquarium full of many, many fish, all of them named Frank.

Dr. Fig

...is the McPodcast's answer to Dr. Bailey — dedicated, brutally honest, and intolerant of BS. She contributes a "real world" perspective of the medical goings-on at the fictional Seattle Grace.

She is a doctor of emergency medicine in a major Midwest hospital, and uses the moniker "Dr. Fig" to protect her professional anonymity. No, it's not her real name. She often writes about her experiences in the ER on her personal blog, and it's fascinating stuff. The good doctor went to college with Eric and knows oodles of fascinating secrets about him she has yet to divulge to David.
